If I care too much about what other people think or expect my work is atrocious. Rather than being confident in my knowledge, I flail at *whatever* thing I’m doing.

Failure is a necessary component of success.
Failure teaches a person far more than success does.
It's just more painful to fail than to succeed!
AND seeking approval of others in an attempt to gain confidence is waste of time.
